MISSION

To ensure the legacy of the old Sylvan Chapel as a center for cultural, visual and performing arts programs.

If you are looking for a rewarding, challenging and enjoyable way to serve our community, please convey your interest to the Chapel on Echo Bay at 549-7039. We have openings for several 3-year terms on the Board of Directors.

The Fox Island Chapel Preservation Society, a community based, non-profit corporation, owns and operates the Chapel on Echo Bay. The Society was formed in 1999 and acquired the property in January 2000. Our efforts are focused to ensure the continued availability of the historic Chapel now and to future generations of Fox Island and the neighboring communities.

BOARD MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

Those who can commit to attend monthly meetings held at the Chapel and serve on one or more of the four standing committees;
Those who have the Chapel’s best interest at heart and who have an appreciation for its historic place in our community;
Anyone, old-timer or newcomer, who can contribute experience, ideas and enthusiasm for the programs and events which are in keeping with the mission of the Fox Island Chapel Preservation Society:
